The hotel will be operated by Hilton, Waldorf Astoria is its top-class luxury brand. The skyscraper will have 52 floors, mainly are used for offices, a hotel called “Waldorf Astoria Tokyo Nihonbashi” will occupy the uppermost floors, it will have 197 rooms, spanning nine floors from 39th to 47th floors, the remaining floors to 52nd floor are all mechanical floors. The skyscraper will be situated next to the 1911-built Nihonbashi Bridge, and on the south banks of the Nihonbashi River.
The Nihonbashi 1-Chome Central District Redevelopment includes a 287-meter skyscraper, only a few meters shy of being a supertall.

The Tokiwabashi Tower is currently under construction and is close to its completion, and the construction of Torch Tower will start in 2023 and scheduled to be completed in 2027. The project was first announced as early as in 2015, but the supertall’s name Torch Tower is only revealed in September 2020 after a torch-inspired new design for the supertall is unveiled. Tokyo Torch Tower is a 63-story supertall skyscraper planned to be built near the north side of Tokyo Station (Tokyo’s main railway hub), it’s a part of Mitsubishi Estate’s Tokiwabashi District Redevelopment Project, which also includes a shorter 212-meter (696-foot) tower called Tokiwabashi Tower.
